The JavaFX Platform - Code and Demos

THE JavaFX PLATFORM

The world is not just a bunch of UI forms.

With the increasing variety of intelligent devices, many of
them mobile, simple forms just don't cut it. JavaFX is Sun
Microsystem's way cool platform aimed at making immersive,
media-rich applications that can run on desktop, mobile and soon
interactive-TV platforms. JavaFX is already supported by large
consumer electronics companies such as LG Electronics and Sony.
According to Sun, they have shipped over 100,000,000 JavaFX
runtimes in the growing rich client market.

JavaFX leverages all the best features of Java and allows
developers to design applications by leveraging the same core APIs
on each platform.

Jim and Sang Shin(!) will demonstrate how JavaFX gives you
a new method for designing interactive applications on the Java
platform. He will cover the essentials of the platform through
plenty of real coding examples and demonstrations.
